Welcome to the Koobicore Zine, a project inspired by the fashion and aesthetics of BTS members Jeon Jungkook and Jung Hoseok!

A "core" refers to the style essence channeled in someone's look.

To celebrate HopeKook, we've combined "koocore" and "hobicore" into a mashup from dark to bright, goth to neon, and edgy to playful!

KOOCORE

Jungkook’s style embodies an aesthetic with dark colours that not only describes clothing but also a kind of lifestyle.

Koocore fashion can be stylized by doc martins, big stompy shoes, chains on chains, black clothing, harnesses, soft eboy grunge, piercings, tattoos, gothic vibes, etc.

HOBICORE

Hoseok's style embodies a maximalist approach to fashion with both cheer and pep, bringing sunshine into every step.

HobiCore fashion is iconic for bright details, bold fonts, complex patterns, rainbow colours, symbols and icons, oversized pieces, repeating designs, big accessories, maximalism, etc.

ZINE EXPERIENCE
This is my second time doing a zine. My first zine was the Full Restore: A BTS x Pokemon Zine, where i was a page artist.

FAVE FASHION STYLES
I'm a big enthusiast of silver jewelry, especially the kind that Jungkook wears a lot of with black colour-schemed outfits. I also have a soft spot for stompy footwear. Hoseok’s range of hats gets me inspired to style my own, especially as I have a habit of collecting hats ;-; But the range of colours hoseok can wear while looking so fashionable makes me save a spot in my heart for earthy, colourful colours.

ZINE EXPERIENCE
I am a current mod for 7 zines, including as a production mod for COUTURE: A BTS x High Fashion Zine, writing and graphics mod for Gateway to You: A Taekook AU Zine, and management and proofreading mod for the BTS Wings Zine. My experience as a moderator spans all levels of zine operations, both with co-mods and solo. In addition to BTS zines, my previous projects have been centered in the Studio Ghibli, Haikyuu!!, Boku No Hero Academia, Free!, and Shokugeki No Soma fandoms.

FAV FASHION STYLE
I love Hoseok's oversized looks (wide t-shirt, soft shorts, layered accessories) and his softer, more natural-toned styles when he dresses up. Jungkook's style (all black, big chunky stompers) is more my type, though! I also love the balenciaga triple s split-colourway low-top trainers (ꈍᴗꈍ)

ZINE EXPERIENCE
I have worked as an artist for 14 zines and counting, and as a mod for 7. My mod experience includes making graphics, creating and managing Discord servers, keeping social media profiles active, communicating with contributors, handling emails, and keeping information organized on spreadsheets. I'm the lead and creator of COUTURE: A BTS x High Fashion Zine. I've also worked in BTS Wings, Strawberry Shortcake's Berry-Tastic Zine, TenDonna, and Cross|roads.

FAVE FASHION STYLES
I'm really attached to flowy androgynous styles, neutral colors, and fun earrings. I connect with academia looks and will never say no to a good pair of penny loafers. High waisted trousers, yes please!!

ZINE EXPERIENCE
I have general, finance, production and translation experience as a mod. I've been in a total of 12 zines: 10 of them as a finance and one as a head mod. I worked on COUTURE: A BTS x High Fashion Zine, Identity Vogue Zine, BTS Wings Zine, Mikrokosmos Approaches: BTS x Genshin Zine, and more.

FAVE FASHION STYLES
If I were to pick a style that interests me, it would be Harajuku with all its brightness and cuteness overload. But the ones I really like and would consider trying out myself would be lolita and gothic fashion. Also chains. And belts. Love those.
